Forward Kyle Kuzma`s future with the Wizards has been the subject of intrigue ahead of the NBA trade deadline on Feb. 9.
Washington previously intended to keep Kuzma (27, 208 cm) after the deadline, as well as the desire to sign a new contract with the forward in the offseason.
However, it remains unclear whether Kuzma shares this desire for the Wizards to continue the partnership in the long term. According to insider Mark Stein, the belief persists in various places in the NBA that Kuzma would rather switch teams in the offseason.
It is noted that perhaps this is wishful thinking on the part of those teams that are eager to get it.
Kuzma, 27, could opt out of a $13 million contract extension for the 23/24 season.
Kyle is having the best season of his career, averaging 21. 6 points, 7. 5 rebounds and 3. 9 assists per game.
