Piastri believes he had a chance at pole position in Monaco.
The McLaren driver believes that he could have taken pole in Monaco if he had not made a few mistakes.
I think if you took the second half of my first lap in Q3 and the first half of my second lap, it would have been a pretty good lap [for pole].
I made a couple of mistakes at the end, but I have to give credit to Charles [Leclerc]. He`s been fast all weekend. At some moments it seemed to me that we could get close to him.
It`s nice to start from the front row, especially in these colors (at the Monaco Grand Prix, McLaren competes in a special livery dedicated to Ayrton Senna - Sports). As much as I`d like to be optimistic, it`s not easy to overtake on our site. We are starting from a good position and we have a chance to have a good day tomorrow, " Piastri said.
