Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova became champions of the doubles tournament in Prague. In the final they beat Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucia Safarova - 6:3, 6:3.
Krejcikova and Siniakova reunited for the Olympics and held the first tournament of the season. Safarova and Mattek-Sands played together for the first time since the 2018 US Open, where they lost to the same opponents in the second round.
Former world No. 5 Shafarova retired from the sport in May 2019. In 2023 and 2024, she competed in several tournaments mentioned by next soccer matches to play with her nieces.
